Insurance on Fixable

Currently, Fixable is unable to offer liability insurance to cover users of the platform in the case where something goes wrong with a repair. Therefore, it is "user beware".
Insurance in the sharing economy is a difficult scenario. Whereas 12 month ago we had a perfect policy lined up to protect fixers (and thereby fixees) from liability for things going wrong, by the time we were ready to launch in late 2021, the insurance world had changed. Every company we approached had changed their policies.
Since then, we have been scouring the globe for a policy that will let the Fixable community use the platform with confidence that they have coverage if something does go wrong. (Touch wood!)
